My love for natural gemstones and jewelry began as a very young child. Some of my happiest childhood memories were going with my mom on "rock-hound" excursions together. We would travel through the midwest and eastern states in search of natural treasures. My mother would take the gems we would find, identify them and place them on a big display board to teach me about them. My mother passed away suddenly when I was six years old, so my artwork has become a labor of love in her memory. I am forever grateful for the things she taught me in the few years we had together.
